Lowell Fein is a certified health care executive with over thirty years of health care management experience in both long term care and acute care. He has held several Executive Director/Administrator positions as well as served as a Senior Vice President for a national long term care company. Mr. Fein has been directly responsible for the complete turnaround of a number of distressed long term care facilities, ranging from 120 to over 600 beds. Mr. Fein received his MPA degree in Health Policy and Management from New York University. He is the Principal of The Fein Group, LLC, Consulting Services for Long Term Care.
Mr. Lowell Fein selected as Distinguished Administrator of the Year by the NJ American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA). The announcement was made by Mr. Michael Hotz the current National Chair of the ACHCA also of New Jersey.
The announcement was made and award presented to Mr. Lowell Fein at the NJ ACHCA March 3rd 2015 annual meeting held at the Masonic Home in Burlington NJ.
The nomination letter was submitted by Sandra Stimson CEO for NCCDP with supporting letters from Elliott Cohen CEO of New Era Health Associates Corp, Gary Herschman Esq. of Epstein Becker Green and Fred Sganga Executive Director of Long Island State Veterans Home.
Selection was based on the following criteria; candidates work practice, performance, dedication to work site, attitudes regarding care of older adults, ability to work with others, contribution to quality of care of the older adult. Additional criteria was number of years in practice, committees and task forces the candidate served on and how the candidate enhanced care, as well as certifications, awards and academic degrees.
Lowell has served the long term care industry since 1988 as Administrator, Vice President for large organizations and consultant. Lowell has served as the Chairman of the Board for the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners And International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners since 2003.
