As a CADDCT trainer, you will provide the state of the art and comprehensive ADDC Alzheimers Disease and Dementia Care curriculum to health care professionals, front line staff and students enrolled in healthcare-related degree programs such as nursing, social workers, pharmacist, activity professionals, PT, OT, Speech Therapist, nursing assistants and other important professions serving the older person who already work in the health care industry, supporting industries, government agencies or who will be entering the workforce. The ADDC curriculum is the required seminar for those interested in pursuing CDP Certified Dementia Practitioner certification and who qualify for CDP certification. Not everyone will qualify for the CDP certification but all professions can benefit from the comprehensive curriculum. The ADDC curriculum is recognized by CMS and is listed on the CMS Crosswalk page.
The ADDC curriculum is CEU approved for nurses in most states. It is the CADDCT trainer's responsibility to submit the curriculum (if they choose to do so) to credentialing bodies for CE or CEU approval.
CADDCT trainers are permitted to present the curriculum where they are employed or book private seminars and charge for their services when not at work. Additionally, the CADDCT trainer name is listed on the CADDCT registry for potential customers to hire them, to present the ADDC curriculum to corporations employees or association attendees if they so choose to do so.
NCCDP offers corporate group (10 or more) discounts when the CADDCT is the presenter in an in house ADDC training for the CDP applications if the corporation is investing in the employee's dementia education and CDP certification.
NCCDP also offers associations attendees who attend the ADDC seminar presented at a state or national conference, a discount for the CDP application.
The CADDCT trainer will need the following equipment; laptop with media player, projector or smart TV, screen, extension cords, speaker when presenting to larger audiences of more than 10, cart, and screen. The ADDC PowerPoint curriculum and NCCDP Aging and Intimacy video are presented on a memory stick.
All trainers will be asked to sign a license agreement. This is explained in the CADDCT registration form.
All trainers will provide a student handout notebook that can only be ordered through the NCCDP web site. All trainers will be required to provide a certificate of attendance, collect evaluations, and provide a sign-in sheet to all attendees. CADDCT renewal is every two years and includes both the CADDCT and CDP certification.
The CADDCT seminar includes Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care PowerPoint curriculum on a memory stick, a master student handout notebook, Instructor manual, NCCDP Intimacy and Aging Video on a memory stick (sexuality video dealing with staff concerns), textbooks that include the environment, diagnosis and communication (textbooks subject to change), pretest and posttest for students, sample brochure, sample class certificate, sample sign-in sheet, Information on database development, information on obtaining approval for CEU's, fees to charge, certifications as a CDP Certified Dementia Practitioner, certification as CADDCT NCCDP Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer.
Fees:
$2,800 USD for late registration. Rates subject to change.
$2,500 USD if registering 60 days prior to the start of class.
Corporations request rates for multiple staff.
Associations request rates if booking the CADDCT seminar at the next state or national conference.
NO REFUNDS if you cancel 7 days prior to the class date. ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED IN WRITING NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE CLASS. Cancellation received prior to two weeks of the start of class will incur a $750.00 cancellation fee. If canceling 13 days or less prior to the scheduled date, there are no refunds. Cancellation must be received in writing to nccdpoffice@nccdp.org

All certifications are emailed to you. You have the option to request a hard copy for an additional fee.
CDCM Certified Dementia Care Manager:
If you are pursuing the CDCM® Class Certified Dementia Care Manager® certification, please fill out the CDCM® application.
CDCM is open to those who provide direct supervision (and who qualify) for a locked dementia unit in an assisted living community or nursing home which NCCDP calls Memory Care Neighborhoods. This is a three-hour live interactive conference call, using a service such as Zoom. A Memory Care Policy and Procedure manual are provided. You must either be enrolled in the CADDCT seminar, submitting your CADDCT application with your CADDCT application or have completed the CADDCT seminar in order to qualify for the CDCM certification.
